• To have a full working knowledge of all the washing, dry cleaning, presser machines and all equipment utilized in the laundry for operation and maintenance.
• To have a full knowledge and understanding of all the chemical products utilized and their proper and economical use. Proper storage, the environmental and proper disposal of all toxic products.
• To inform the manager on the progress of the chemical consumption and if there is need of any requisition.
• To have a full knowledge of all the textiles and their proper care.
• To have a full knowledge of all washing, dry cleaning maintenance etc. procedures of all the laundry department procedures.
• Constantly check the linen, uniforms and guest laundry for cleanliness quality of pressing, folding, packaging.
• Check for defects on the guest laundry and staff uniforms and give recommendations where necessary.
• To supervise the distribution of all articles to ensure adequate supply of linen as well as the efficient handling of guest, Managers and employee’s uniforms. Ensure proper controlling.
• Diploma in Housekeeping & Laundry Operations or related field
• Previous experience in a similar capacity
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
