ABOUT THE ROLE
The Kenya Veterinary Board is recruiting a Finance & Accounts Officer II. This is the entry and training grade for the cadre. You will work under the guidance of a senior officer on the Board's day-to-day accounting, payments and collections.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting and records
- Capture income and expenditure data in the accounting system.
- Maintain the general ledger.
- Keep payment and journal vouchers in safe custody.
- Identify officers with outstanding balances and confirm closing balances at the end of each month.

Payments and banking
- Prepare payment vouchers, and process payments and other disbursements.
- Support tax accounting and remit statutory deductions.
- Reconcile Pesaflow statements.
- Carry out regular banking.

Billing and collections
- Prepare customer invoices for services provided.
- Issue demand notes and follow up on overdue accounts.

REQUIREMENTS
For appointment to this grade, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce (Finance/Accounting option), Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics and Finance, Economics and Statistics, Business Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
