JOB SUMMARY

Support day-to-day business development and client service activities for ILAM’s institutional pension business, covering segregated pension funds and the ILAM Umbrella Fund. The role will focus on prospect follow-up, preparing tenders and proposals, maintaining pipeline records, and coordinating routine client requests.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Business Development

• Prepare and compile tenders, RFP responses and business proposals using approved information and templates, for review before submission.

• Maintain up-to-date tender documentation and track submission requirements and deadlines.

• Update prospect databases, sales pipeline records and business development activity reports.

• Support business acquisition through follow-up on existing prospects, arranging prospect meetings and sharing approved introductory materials.

• Assist with preparing and following up on new client onboarding documentation.

• Client Relationship Support

• Follow up on outstanding client requests and coordinate with the Umbrella Fund’s service providers.

• Support client relationship activities by coordinating sponsorship requests and assisting with client engagement initiatives.

• Respond to routine client and intermediary enquiries, coordinate responses with relevant teams and escalate matters requiring further guidance.

• Marketing and Events Support

• Assist in updating pension product presentations and other marketing materials using approved content.

• Support the coordination of institutional client events, sponsorship requests and client gifting activities, as required.

CORE TECHNICAL & BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

• Practical business development skills, including prospecting and following up on opportunities.

• Ability to compile tender documents and draft clear proposals and client correspondence.

• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Good communication, interpersonal and client service skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, collaborate with colleagues and escalate issues appropriately.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• 1–3 years’ experience in business development or sales support, with hands-on experience in following up business opportunities and coordinating client requests.

• Practical experience preparing and compiling tenders, RFP responses or business proposals.

• Experience in financial services, particularly pensions, asset management or insurance, is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of pension products is an advantage.
