Key responsibilities

Job Purpose:
To support the Finance Operations function by processing high-volume financial transactions in a technology-enabled environment, resolving unlocated premiums, reconciliations, financial record maintenance, and compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls to support efficient business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.
2. Investigate and resolve unallocated receipts, suspense items and other transactional exceptions within agreed timelines.
3. Perform general Ledger reconciliations and maintain support schedules for assigned accounts.
4. Support month-end closing ensuring proper expensing of all Prepaid schedules.
5. Process approved claims and operational payments in accordance with delegated authority limits and internal controls.
6. Maintain and monitor staff travel advances, ensuring timely accounting and recovery of outstanding balances.
7. Liaise with Banks to provide Business Development teams with all requested Bid bonds and performance Guarantees.
8. Support Finance Operations process improvements, automation initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications required and Essential Competencies - External
1. Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or its equivalent.
2. At least one years’ experience in a similar position.
3. CPA Part 1.
Technical/ Functional competencies:
1. International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
2. Financial Accounting.
3. Accounts Analysis and reconciliation.
4. Analytical –highly analytical and ability to challenge status quo based on quantitative facts and impacts.
5. Report writing-ability to develop reports.
